Welcome to nooch.app. By using our service, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.

Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on nooch.app for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• Modifying or copying the materials
• Using the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Attempting to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on nooch.app
• Removing any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
• Transferring the materials to another person or "mirroring" the materials on any other server

Disclaimer

The materials on nooch.app are provided on an 'as is' basis. nooch.app makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

Limitations

In no event shall nooch.app or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on nooch.app.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us — genuinely. Here's the honest, short version: we only collect the data we actually need to make your nooch experience better. No selling, no creepy ad-tracking, no data hoarding. If a bit of information doesn't help you eat the rainbow, we don't want it. 🌈

What We Collect (and why)

• The plant foods you track — the whole point of nooch! Just the food and when you logged it, so we can light up your streaks, challenges and progress.
• Your account details, if you create an account — your name, email and how you signed in (email, Google or Apple), so your food log can follow you across devices.
• Anonymous usage, if you use nooch without an account — your tracked foods are saved under a random, nameless ID, purely so we can spot which foods people want and make nooch tastier for everyone.
• A pinch of analytics — which pages get visited, and when. That's it. No third-party ad trackers, ever.
• Feedback you send us — your message, plus an optional email or screenshot, so we can squash bugs and build what you ask for.
• Newsletter sign-ups — if you join the list, your name, email and favourite plant food, so we can wave hello when there's something new.

Want to keep everything on your own device instead? Totally fine — flip on “save on this device” in Settings and your food log never leaves your browser.

Cookies

We keep cookies to the bare minimum — just the handful nooch needs to work. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no cross-site snooping.

• Sign-in cookies — if you have an account, these keep you logged in as you move around nooch. Without them you'd have to sign in again on every page.
• Time-zone cookies (tz and tz_offset) — these remember your time zone so your day, streaks and daily checks roll over at your local midnight instead of a server's. They hold nothing but your zone, and never leave nooch.

Because these are strictly functional — they simply make nooch work the way you asked — we don't nag you with a cookie consent pop-up, and our analytics use no cookies at all. If we ever add anything non-essential, we'll ask you first. 🍪

Payments

If you go nooch⁺, payments are handled securely by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe — we never see or store them. All we keep is your subscription status, so we know to unlock your premium goodies.

How We Use Your Information

• To make nooch work — track your foods, sync your account, keep that streak alive
• To improve the app and add the foods and features you actually want
• To reply to your feedback and, only if you opted in, send the occasional friendly update

Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your data. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No Selling. Ever.

We will never sell or rent your data — full stop. The only outside parties involved are the trusted services that keep nooch running: Stripe (payments), Firebase (secure sign-in) and our hosting provider Greenwebspace. Each one only ever handles the minimum needed to do its job, and nothing more.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "last modified" date.
